Weekend Scrapbooking Retreat!

I am offering my 3rd ANNUAL Weekend Scrapbooking Retreat coming up in May, and registration is now OPEN!

 

Weekend Retreat!

Fri, May 28th 7:00pm to Sun, May 30th 1:00pm at Stillwood Camp & Conference Centre 

 

Spend an entire weekend scrapbooking, making cards and relaxin'! $190 per person includes accomodation, meals and snacks, and unlimited creative time! Bring your supplies, personal items and bedding. Limited spaces available. $50 deposit due by Mar 15th, remaining amount due by April 15th. Deposit non-refundable after Mar 15th. Payment is by cash, cheque or Paypal only.

More Valentines projects!

Here are a few more cute Valentines projects! You still have time to make something cute for that special someone!

This one's called a "Bag in a Box", and is easier to make than it looks (aren't most things we make?)....

This one below is made from the chipboard books in the Occasions Mini Catalogue! Isn't it pretty? 

A fun note card using the new Scallop Trim Corner Punch, and the Heart to Heart Punch!

And below is an easy "treat triangle" using the 2 Tags Die for the Big Shot! Cut out two of the same tag, and glue the ends together to make the bottom of the triangle. Voila!

This one was one of our stamp club make & takes in January!

Love Bots Valentines

I had such a great time with the Mom & Me class yesterday making Valentines! Here are some of the projects we've made, using the Love Bots valentines kits.

You can use the 3"X5" cellophane bags from Stampin' Up, to put some chocolates inside. They fit perfectly (of course!).

Or, you can pierce a hole in the bottom and put a lollipop in there. 

The kids each got their own personalized name stamp to stamp the back of the Valentines with their name (so much easier on their little fingers!) and then they got to take those home to use on birthday invitations, notes to Grandma, future Valentines and more! So much fun!

free punch!

Here's a Valentine card I made last week, using the new FREE Scallop Trim Border punch! (item#118402).

You can get this FREE punch right now when you order $65 worth of products from Stampin Up thru the Sale-A-Bration promotion!

It is made on Pretty in Pink cardstock, with the Tres Chic background stamp (#109258 $23.95). I also used the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set (#117010 $35.95 wood blocks, #118571 $24.95 Clear Blocks) and stamped the hearts in Real Red, and punched them out with the Heart to Heart punch (#113694 $22.95). I noticed it leaves this cute rim of ink around the holes, so I wanted to use this instead of throwing it out!  

So, I decided to make windows! This card has 2 peek-a-boo windows which I made with the Wide Oval Punch (#112082 $22.95), and the Heart to Heart punch. After I punched them, I placed a piece of clear packing tape over the opening, with the sticky side up, and sprinkled glitter over top!  How much fun is that?!
 

I finished off the scallop corners with the NEW Scallop Trim Corner Punch (#118870 $13.95). Then I stamped this sentiment (from the FREE stamp set called Whimsical Words, wood block#118386, clear block #119119) in Real Red, on Whisper White cardstock, and punched it with the Wide Oval punch to match the front. Whether you have the card closed or open, you can still read the sentiment!
