BIG announcement!

I was so excited last week when I heard some BIG NEWS from Stampin' Up! And I am thrilled to share it with YOU!

They are renovating the Color Line-up, and it is FABULOUS! I mean, truly FABULOUS! While I have always loved the variety of colors offered by Stampin' Up, there were those ones that I found I just couldn't use that much...I mean some I didn't love. Now, they are updating their whole color line to get rid of some of the not-so-loved colors, and to add 5 BRAND NEW COLORS! And they are GORGEOUS! This has really stepped up their trendiness!

On top of that, they are bringing back 10 of our favorite IN COLORS from the past two years! I am so happy to see some of these returning!

Color Renovation chart

On July 1st, with the release of the new 2010-2011 catalogue, these will be the new Color Collections (formerly called Color Families).....

New Color Collections

Click here to download a PDF of the New Color Collections.

5 New Colors on the chart above are:

Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso

10 returning IN COLORS on the chart above are:

Baja Breeze, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, Rich Razzleberry, Riding Hood Red, River Rock, Soft Suede, Tangerine Tango and Wild Wasabi

Aren't they beautiful?

Obviously to make room for the new colors, there will be some old ones we'll be bidding farewell to. You don't have to worry, though, you will have almost 3 months to stock up on any of these that you love. They'll be available until June 30th.

Click here to download a PDF of the colors that will be retiring.

Current colors that will retire in June are:
Glorious Green, Green Galore, Gable Green, Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange, Pink Passion, Pixie Pink, Orchid Opulence, Lovely Lilac, Brilliant Blue, Close to Cocoa (boohoo), Creamy Caramel, Really Rust, Ruby Red, Cameo Coral, Summer Sun, Bordering Blue, Brocade Blue, Ballet Blue, Taken with Teal, Handsome Hunter, Pale Plum, Blush Blossom (the marker will still be available), Apricot Appeal, Barely Banana, Mellow Moss, Sage Shadow, Almost Amethyst, Lavender Lace, Basic Brown, Going Gray

Yes, that's alot! But, Stampin' Up feels that they need to take the number of colors down a bit, as it can be a bit overwhelming for new clients and demonstrators to choose from 62 colors! There will now be 50.

Other changes: There will now be 5 IN COLORS each year, instead of 6, and they will stick around for TWO years, instead of one. YAY! Love this change!

Whew! That's alot of information for you! I will send out more info as I get it, and let me know if you have any questions.

Raccoon Eyes

Here is another couple of versions of the critters I have been making recently. Isn't this one adorable? We made this as a Make & Take for Big Shot Club recently.

Racoon

It was inspired by a project from Kimberley Morris, and it used Basic Gray, Black, and Whisper White cardstocks.

And here's one more: this one was created by my 11 year old daughter.

 Kitty
This one used the Top Note Die as well as Chocolate Chip and Pretty In Pink cardstocks.

So cute!

Enjoy making some punch-art critters with your punches!

Watch out for Aliens!

Here are some Aliens made by my boys, after they saw my bunny box (see my previous post). Aliens

I am glad I have some boys around to help me make some masculine things! I am not so good at that part! (and yes, those are ABS, drawn on the Tempting Turquiose one :))

Steph's project 020

These are both made using the Top Note Die, various Circle and Oval Punches from Stampin' Up, and lots of boy germs :) Just kidding.....I love my boys! I think these would be great filled with gummy worms!

Happy Creating!

Bunny Wabbit

Happy Easter everyone!

I thought maybe you'd like this cute little punch-art bunny that I made using Stampin' Up's Top Note Die and various punches.

Bunny

This makes a great holder to put a cello bag of goodies inside (cookies, candies, CHOCOLATES!). I just used adhesive to close the cello bag, and attach to the inside, so it could be easily pulled out without wrecking the bunny :)

Bunny-back view

I used the Large Oval and Wide Oval punches for the ears, added the 1" circle and 3/4" circle for the eyes, and Wide Oval (cut off the sides) and 5 Petal Flower punch for the carrot. The little paw is made by cutting a Scallop Circle from Pretty in Pink cardstock, followed by punching it again with the 1 3/8" circle punch. The base of it is just a strip of cardstock (3" X 11") scored in the middle, and scored again 3/4" on either side of that first score line. This project was inspired by Kimberley Morris.

I will share some other critter versions of this box in the next few days!

Happy Easter!
